With over 16 years experience in the construction and design business, GETA, LLC was founded by Doug Leahy on April 27, 2001. With the support of his family and friends the business has successfully grown. Occasionally, we find ourselves in a magazine and sometimes people find it in their hearts to even clap at us. Doug was nominated as a Rising Design Star in Michigan in 2008 and received some great design awards.

Doug has successfully been involved in over a hundred projects through out the years and has even built personal homes and tackled many a renovation. Doug attended Lawrence Technological University for his bachelor degree and masters in architecture. He is married to his profession and wife (Saint Kimberly) and currently lives in Birmingham, Michigan with their four children all born within a 3 years span starting in 2004! (Now you understand the 'Saint' term before Kimberly's name!)

Doug is a life long Detroit Tiger fan and also enjoys the success of Red Sox Nation. He and Kimberly hope to visit all the major league parks before the race against Father Time ends.

GETAgreen was established to fill a niche in the residential market. Consumers are looking for more affordable ways to add space to their homes for a dedicated use. The units provided in the greenPLANS can be individually tailored to be a guest cottage, meditation room, workshop, detached office/studios or even disaster relief-the options are endless.

GETA LLC hopes to continue to grow and maintain sound business practices while advancing itself as one of the premier design and product consultants in the Metro Detroit area.
